Maximized Living

August 28th, 2009

Today I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Rosie Main of Maximized Living here in Boise, Idaho. She and her husband are doctors of chiropractic who will be taking care of our team out here. We are so excited for their help and support in helping our team reach our goals of pursuing our Olympic goals. In a sport like wrestling there is always bound to be some type of neck kink, or back thrown out. I am really happy that they will be working with us. Please check out their site and if you are in the area give them a call. They would love to help you get on track for your overall health and wellness. www.maximizedlivingdrmain.com

We are building our program from the ground up so anytime that we can have this type of support it is very helpful to us to be moving in the right direction. Thank you so much Dr. Rosie and Jon Main for helping us achieve our goals.

Great Summer

August 27th, 2009

This summer has been a great one! My wife and I moved to Boise, ID to start working with Russell Brunson, a great internet marketer. I have learned a ton about marketing and how the internet is such an amazing tool when it comes to using it for that purpose. I am so excited about how that is benefitting the Greco Training Center that we have started here. We recently had another Utah native move up to Boise to start training and working with us, Cheney Haight. We are excited to have Cheney here, and next week we have another handful of athletes who will be moving to the Boise area to continue pursuing their Olympic Dreams.

I continue to pursue my Olympic dreams here in Boise as well. I have been training for the past couple of months as well as learning more about the industry and working to help put all of this together. I never realized how much went into building a team of elite athletes. There are so many things that I took for granted when I was training in Colorado Springs and I didn’t realize that I would eventually be responsible for organizing these same aspects of a training center after I moved. It has been a fun and exciting challenge. I appreciate all of the support that I have received throughout my wrestling carreer, and I am very excited to be training and competing again. I am doing everything I can to be ready to make the Olympic team in 2012. Thank you for your support and for following me through this journey.

I almost forgot to mention that earlier this summer we had a baby girl, Brinklee Ashlyn Ruiz. Being a father is one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever had. She is barely starting to smile and kick around a little bit more. It is exciting to see her start to grow bigger and bigger and develop. She is daddy’s little girl.

Ivan Ivanov

July 11th, 2009

We are very excited to have Ivan Ivanov come aboard our team in Boise, Idaho. We feel that by having a world class coach like Ivan training our team that we will be some of the best wrestlers in the world. Read more about Ivan at: http://themat.com/section.php?section_id=3&page=showarticle&ArticleID=20555

Since the announcement of bringing Ivan aboard our team to coach we have also had a handful of other athletes who are also looking to move up to Boise to begin training. This will be a wonderful opportunity for all of those athletes who do decide to come take advantage of this training situation. In the future it will be possible to follow all of these athletes and their progress towards their Olympic dreams at the new website that we will be unveiling shortly. We will be offering a variety of ways to help other athletes and fitness enthusiasts to reach their competitive and fitness goals.

Busy Summer

July 6th, 2009

This summer has been extremely busy! About a month and a half ago my wife and I packed up everything and moved to Boise, ID to start working with Russell Brunson on building a training center for wrestling. We are putting together a situation for those world class athletes who are looking to compete and train at a very high level while at the same time have an opportunity to make a living. Russell has been very successful at building his business as an internet marketer, and now he is looking to get back into wrestling. One day he called out of the blue to see if I was interested in working with him on this venture. I immediately jumped at this opportunity as I saw the benefit of working with him and having the opportunity to train and compete again. I am so excited about this!

So far we have a facility in Boise where we have begun to practice. We have also hired a coach to head up the wrestling program. Tomorrow we will be releasing details about who will be filling this coaching position. We are also in the process of recruiting world class athletes to be a part of our program. We are looking to make this training center one of the premiere wrestling locations in the country, and are excited about the direction it is taking.

Also during this summer I have had the opportunity to hold a clinic in Pinedale, Wyoming, and also clinician at the Utah Summer Games Camp in Cedar City, Utah. Both of these opportunities allowed me to work with some great kids. I was very pleased with their work ethic and eagerness to improve their wrestling skills. Thank you to all those who participated in these two events. Opportunities like these help me to pursue my dream of becoming an Olympic Champion. I wish you the best, and Fight For Your Dreams!

Tville camp cancelled

June 14th, 2009

Due to lack of interest and registration we will not be holding the camp next week at Taylorsville High School. Unfortunately I only received a handful of registrations and they were not enough to cover the costs of the camp. We will hold a shorter clinic sometime in the fall so check back to keep updated. Thanks, and I apologize for the inconvenience. I sent back checks to those who did register so if you have not yet received it please let me know. Thanks.

Mountain View Clinic

May 10th, 2009

Last Tuesday I did a wrestling clinic for Mountain View High School in Mt. View, Wy. The clinic was a lot of fun for me. We were small in numbers, and it enabled me to take the time to ask each participant if there was something that they were having trouble with that I could help out with. They all had questions that I feel like I was able to answer and we were able to have some fun and learn some wrestling together. I really appreciate all of the support that I have received doing these clinics. I have been able to meet a lot of great people that love the sport and want to be their best.

As you know for the last nine months my wife and I have been living in Evanston, Wy. I had a job opportunity that seemed to be a good idea at the time when I took, and fortunately for me there is an even better opportunity waiting for me elsewhere. Tomorrow we are packing up everything in a Uhaul and will be heading to Utah for a couple of days before we head on to Boise, ID on Thursday. Russell Brunson, one of my friends and teammates from the Elite wrestling club from high school, gave me a call and wanted to know if I would be interested in working with him to start a club for world class athletes. I jumped on the opportunity and am so excited to be moving to Boise where I will be able to be able to start training and competing again while at the same time have an opportunity to provide financially for my family. I am so excited that the days have been passing so slowly as I wait until it is time to go. Only one more day, and we will be starting out on a new journey. I just can’t wait!
